Wallow Hollow Farm is nestled on 18 acres in the scenic valley of Summerville, Georgia. Established in 2013, WHF is the realization of a dream that was many years in the making. After owning goats of the pet variety for almost 10 years, I wanted to learn and do more thus the great caprine adventure officially began!
I have owned a few different breeds over the years, but my heart belongs to the Mini LaMancha so I made the decision to simplify to focus on the one breed. The Miniature LaMancha is a cross between a standard size LaMancha and a Nigerian Dwarf. Both are dairy breeds and the goal is to produce hardy, productive, mid-size offspring.
My goal at WHF is to raise healthy, correct, quality dairy goats.
Here at WHF, I feed ADM Dairy Goat Power 16%, locally grown bermuda hay, western alfalfa, and Sweetlix 16:8 Meat Maker loose minerals. The herd is closely monitored for signs of parasites using fecal egg counts and FAMACHA scoring and dewormed accordingly when the need arises. Each goat receives a copper bolus two times per year, an annual CD/T vaccine, and hooves are checked and trimmed as needed. Kids are raised on a coccidia prevention protocol. My herd is tested annually for CAE.
I strive to place goats in loving, conscientious homes where they hopefully will be enjoyed for many years to come!
Please take a look around the website and contact me if you are interested in one (or more!) of the available goats.
